Long-time champion of the Golden Dawn, Nick Farrell has finally admitted that the system is broken and can’t be fixed. In a surprise announcement, Farrell announced that his Magical Order of the Aurora Aurea can no longer be considered a traditional Golden Dawn group, although it will continue to use rituals and teachings. In a Facebook interview with Watchers of the Dawn, Farrell said that the Golden Dawn egregore was blighted with all sorts of “astral parasites” and had been doing its best to kill itself. “If you are in a group which claims that it is Golden Dawn, you open yourself to all the problems suffered by the original order,” Farrell said.  The grand pooh-bah of an Irish Golden Dawn temple has been convicted of having more than 50 images of child pornography on his PC. Ronan Phelan, 44, is a number two in David Griffin’s AO temple in Dublin. He pleaded guilty at Dublin District Court to a charge of knowingly having child pornography in his possession at his home address between June 1st, 2006, and June 24, 2009. The court heard he had images of boys and girls as young as nine. He had admitted the offence earlier, and the case had been adjourned until yesterday after the court had asked for probation reports on him to be prepared. Garda Sgt Barry Walsh told Judge Cormac Dunne that a warrant had been obtained to search for the man’s home and computer. Phelan had 52 images of boys and girls aged between nine and 13 on his computer. Sgt Walsh said the defendant would not have paid for these images. SOL appears to have called off some of its rouge elements, which have been running web attacks against former members. Dutch  Ina Cüsters-van Bergen  left the Servants of the Light School to form her own temple of Starlight.  At the time it appeared to be done with the blessing of SOL’s director of studies Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki. However after a few months certain anonymous blogs appeared which attacked Cüsters-van Bergen claiming that, amongst other things, she was ripping of people who attended her courses.
